What is the central idea of your concentration? (500 characters maximum)
The central idea of my concentration is to capture the feeling of comfort.Everyone experiences the sensation and feeling of comfort, whether it’s wrapping up in a warm towel after a long shower, or quickly falling asleep in their bed surrounded by pillows and blankets. You can feel comfort in things, but I wanted to attempt capturing comfort in a photograph.

In my concentration, I decided to move close to the subject and photograph the texture and folds of each object. Most comfort is experienced by feeling or touch. Rather than just taking a picture of the outskirts of what a general person would find comforting, I wanted to use my camera to take a closer look at the essence of comfort. I wanted to get each stitch of the towel and each fold of the blanket. As you move through the pictures, you get closer to the idea I am trying to portray. The last photos of a feather pillow, I focused mainly on each feather. To me, feathers indicate a feeling of comfort. Altogether, I wanted to show that comfort is not only a feeling, but It is also an idea expressed through sight and image.
